She Really Meant It.

Do you know what I want for Mother's Day? What I really really want for Mother's Day?

A clean house. And for my kids to be nice to each other. Really truly and honestly that would be the best gift.

Whoa----Deja vu! Where have I heard that before? Oh ya. About 20 years ago. From my own mother.

Of course I didn't believe her. It was unfathomable to think she didn't want us to buy her anything. She was just being self sacrificing. As the mother of 11, she was definitely used to self sacrifice.

Now I know she meant it. And I wish I would have given it to her.

What do you really truly want for Mother's Day?

I truly asked for the EXACT SAME THING from my kids! Then I asked for a generator from my husband. Boring.

So sad, but that is the EXACT thing I want too! Is it too much to expect a clean house and not a crappy potted plant from walgreens? Sighhhh

It's funny and scary how we turn into our mothers isn't it?

I have found that what I want most from Mother's Day is... a break from being a Mom! I play the diva and hide out in my room if I have to. I eat chocolate. I tell the kids and my husband what to make for dinner. I instruct him on how to instruct the children. It is very nice!

That is hilarious because that's exactly what I wanted from my kids for Mother's day. That and blueberry pancakes. That's all. Amazingly, it kindof happened. Kindof.

I agree -- my girls are starting the little cat fighting and it drives me insane! I don't want them to grow up. I hope you got your wish!
